I have generally believed that Keith Moore knew that the embryology in the Qur’an was crap and he played along for the money.
But was he in fact lied to?
In the 1990s they didn’t have access to multiple translations like we do now. In the 1990 film of him in the USA giving a talk to students,
He breaks the verse down into parts. An important one is the Alaqah (leech like structure)
So they have told him Alaqah means leech, and he manages to contort his mind to think a embryo “looks sorta” with enough LSD . But now we have 60 different translations at the touch of a button, and guess what, it don’t. It means clot, a congealed sticky clot at that. Embryos are never never a clot of blood.
Did Moore know this? Did he turn a blind eye, did he give it up in 1992 because he found out?
